The Icing on the Cake

The snow started Monday evening. We shoveled 2 inches before heading in to enjoy the warmth from the wood stove and dinner.
It snowed all night and continued all day Tuesday.
Amos is center top and his house is the A-frame top right.
Amos the snow dog!

Deck is nearly met by snow in yard.

Snow gives our old picnic table a new look!

The black in the center left is the back of the park bench in the shade garden...

Our end of shoveling Tuesday afternoon--picnic table accumulation over 30 inches...
The snow stopped falling after we went to bed.
Wednesday morning, dark and early, boompa was out shoveling-- work to be done but no daylight burning!
Beautiful morning!!
Spectacular sunrise looking out at front yard.

Amos likes his snow igloo home.
Boompa found the front walk under 3 ft drift.

Snow Storm of my Dreams

As a kid, I had a recurring dream of snow that didn't stop. All my friends and I dug tunnels and had a great time. The snow we received Friday evening through Saturday, (February 5-6) came the closest yet. Church was cancelled and we enjoyed being home. School is closed and even the Federal Government so our snow vacation continues. We are expecting another storm this evening and through tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday) forecasted to bring another 16-24 inches of the beautiful white stuff. Saturday another storm is possible. Dreams do come true!!
