our skiing adventure new year's day

We had a great day in the sun and man-made snow.  JT shows real promise as she quickly moved from the bunny hill to the dipsy quad.  I had trouble getting my boots on, but after that it was smooth sailing down the slopes--the first time in 30 years--muscle memory saved the day.  We hope for more ski adventures before another 30 years go by.  The pictures show our day backwards...our rosy cheeked snowbunny slept the whole way home. Boompa took a couple of video clips too but posting them is beyond me at this time--perhaps in the near future.

Wawa-I miss her willing to do something with me like take a bike ride, play catch etc. I also miss being there for me as a sister. Here some cool pictures of our missionaries before they went on there missions. Enjoy!

Blessing day--Sunday, October 15, 2008

The big day was finally here!  After pressing up the dress to get rid of its travel wrinkles, it was time to try the dress on Lila.  It was a bit big, but made with lots of love by her east coast grandma or "Gammy" thanks to BW.  She suggested it just might be big enough for her baptism as well--it certainly is long enough...

Lila was beautiful for her pictures, then we realized that it would have to be removed as a side saddle safety car seat had not been found.  After pressing again, the dress was hung for the trip to church and Lila was dressed there.  Many family and friends came for her blessing.
